This rental contract is designed to be used when the owner of a house wishes to rent out a room in his/her house. It provides the opportunity to record the terms and conditions of such an agreement. The tenant is not permitted to keep pets in the room. This lease is for use in the District of Columbia, although local authorities frequently regulate lease and rental terms.
