Many parents ask themselves what will occur if something were to happen to their children while they are in the care of others. This document allows parents to provide babysitters, family members, friends and other caretakers with the legal authority to take certain steps on the child's behalf. This document is for use in Pennsylvania, although local institutions may require that specific formal requirements be met before accepting the caretakers authority.
